TJ was born on August 20, 1967, to Jacqueline C. Tschanz. TJ grew up on Long Island and graduated Shoreham-Wading River High School in 1985. After attending college, he moved to Florida in 1991.
As a teenager, TJ purchased his first car, a 1982 Ford Mustang by mowing lawns and shoveling snow. It was with this Mustang that TJ developed a passion for racing cars. He went on to attend the Skip Barber Racing School, which solidified his passion and later helped him build his business, TrickPro Motorsports - Best Damn Dyno in Town.
TJ never knew a stranger and had an amazing sense of humor. He spent his final days asking his doctors and visitors what kind of vehicle they drove; always looking for an opportunity to connect with people through his love of cars.
TJ is survived by his companion of 25 years, Lynn White and her daughter Mandy Geiger; his mom Jacqueline Tschanz; his sister Susan Stevens and brother in law Mark Stevens of Gainesville and his nephew Max.
TJ was a friend to all and will be missed by many. In his own words “Shiny Side Up”.
A service to celebrate TJ’s “Final Lap” will be held at the Fountainhead Funeral Home in Palm Bay on June 17, 2022, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with reception to follow. Please come dressed in your best TJ-style casual clothes.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to American Cancer Society or Vitas Hospice; please, include 'In Memory of Thomas Tschanz" when doing your donation.
