Virginia M. Parrish, 92, of Palm Harbor, passed away March 24, 2021. Born in Detroit, MI on November 11, 1928, the daughter of Editha Stelloh and Clarence Nichols. She was a graduate of Madison High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Wilbert (Bill) Parrish.
As a youngster, Virginia traveled extensively and lived in many states with her family, eventually settling in Battle Creek, MI, where she met her husband. Virginia worked as a Secretary/bookkeeper for a manufacturing company in Battle Creek, where her husband served as a senior executive. When the company relocated to Tennessee they moved with the company to Jacksboro, TN, where they enjoyed the mountain life and she involved herself in arts and crafts and created many beautiful ceramic pieces.
After retirement they moved south, living in Port Richey, FL, then to Brooksville, Fl. Soon after the death of her husband Virginia moved to Palm Harbor, FL. She kept active with shuffleboard, card playing, bowling and volunteered for many years at the Palm Harbor Library. Virginia was a member of the Emmanuel Community Church in Palm Harbor.
Virginia is survived by a stepbrother and stepsister in Virginia and many loved nieces and nephews throughout the states on both Virginia’s and her late husband’s family.
A Memorial will be held May 29th at 11:00am at the Emmanuel Community Church, 1150 County Rd 1, Palm Harbor, FL 34683. Donations in lieu of flowers can be donated to Emmanuel Community Church or the charity of your choice in her name.
