Danny Neal Conway

Danny was born on August 4, 1953 in Inglewood California to Cornilious P. Conway Jr. and wife Rose Mary. After high school graduation, he enlisted in the US NAVY and was honorably discharged in 1972.

Danny became an important part of the Lake Hughes Community in 1976 when his mother moved up here and his first child Dana was about to be born. He was self-employed as the lakes arborist and also built, maintained and refurbished many properties in the area. He was also employed by Pro Water Solutions later in his career. Danny was the caretaker of the Community Center for many years and was instrumental in the purchase of the property from the U. S. Forest Service.

Danny “The Kid” Conway loved classic rock music and anything to do with space. He even had a star named after him. His gentle, quiet way could see in his eyes and his love was shown in everything he did.

Danny is preceded in death by his father Cornilious, mother Rose Mary and brother Charles. He is survived by his daughter Dana, her children Andrew, Leah, Mariah, son Cory his wife Shammah, their children Cloud, Leila, Clarah, Leonay, Arrayah, Aulora , River and also his brother Ronnie and family. Danny is also survived by many close nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on July 16, 2023 at Lakes Community Center, 17520 Elizabeth Lake Road, Lake Hughes Ca. from 1 to 5 pm.
