There are so many memories; not enough words. My cousin David was one of a kind. So many years have past between "catching up" moments! One of the things I admired most about David was his determination to instill in his children what we as kids had not been privy to in the house, not because love was absent for us, but because our parents didn't know how to include us in "grown folks" stuff. David was transparent with his kids. I'll miss you primo....rest easy. I love you...

Thank you for everything. For your support and advice, for hosting the best sleepovers for the cousins, and for always welcoming me to your home. I know God takes his angels first but we’re all gonna miss you so much tio :( especially playing board games with you guys, seeing ur puzzles come together, or hearing ur scary movie recommendations cuz you always picked the best movies. You went through your own battles and still never failed to make us comfortable, you never failed to put a smile on our faces. That’s how I’ll always remember you tio, as the kindest man with the biggest heart.

I don’t speak a lot especially around family from time to time but I do remember always forcing my mom to call sana so I can come see the boys, and one year for one of my birthdays Tio David made it one of the best, we sat around watching the Mayweather/Mcgregor fight and I always remembered our talks on Sundays during football and he could go on n on and I loved picking his brain on randoms things I liked because he always told me something interesting and I’m gonna miss those days.

My Condolences to Everyone it may be a tough time but death is never the end of a story, just another opening for a new chapter.

My last visit with David this year. I didn't get to see him often, but when I was able to visit we had the best conversations about family, life and catching up on lost time.  I love you primo and will always cherish our time together! You had an amazing way of making people feel loved and appreciated. I will miss you dearly and carry your memories in my heart!

This was at cousin Maribel's wedding.  David loved to be around family and tried his best to be at every gathering to show his support.  One of the best things I remember about him.

David loved to bless us with songs that would cheer up the place.  He really enjoyed seeing others have a good time when family gathered.

I didn't know you that long, David, but am truly grateful to have you as my brother in law!  Your love and support for Stevie was overflowing and genuine.....you told me many times how proud you were of him and that always meant a lot to me.  I appreciate your advice and enthusiasm you showed us in our life goals when we'd stop by to visit with you and Susanna.  See you again in paradise!

Tio David, thank you for coming into our lives. You are the prime example of what a family man is. You raised 4 beautiful kids and instilled your knowledge, compassion, and love for others unto them. You’ve stood up for me and helped me feel less alone.  Your knowledge in movies/shows, and books influenced most of our lives. I’m forever grateful for you coming into our lives. Your joy, laugh, and wittiness will be greatly missed.

Rest easy tio David

My everything’s. My life is so lost without the two of you.

That time we went to Disneyland. Always grumpy when you first get there but so happy as the day goes.

David, I remember when I first met you when I was just five years old. You took Sana and me to the video store to rent "Can't Buy Me Love." I don't always remember when I meet someone for the first time, but that memory has always stuck with me. Being with your family this past week was both sad and happy. One thing about the Parga house is it's always filled with love and laughter, and of course, the TV on cartoons. There are never moments of silence, but lots of story sharing and how you used to proclaim you had the best chicken parm recipe.

I'm so proud of my prima, the boys, and Mia. You have done a great job raising them. You will always be missed and loved. Till we meet again, primo.

Maggy might be trilingual at the end of the day, with the boys being adamant about commands in German, and the rest of us with our Spanish and English.
