Dorothy Elizabeth Lister

Dorothy Elizabeth LISTER passed into Glory February 28, 2021 at the age of 90 after battling the corona virus and succumbing to long-term illnesses. Born June 15, 1930 in Atlanta, Georgia, to Albert Leonidas and Bertha Allene Whitmire, Dorothy was predeceased by five sisters; Lucille W Eason, Rachel W Eason, Mary Lynn Oates, Julia Ann Moore, and Linda Louise Whitmire.

Dorothy was the devoted wife of late Donald F Lister for seventy years, and loving mother to their children Donna F, David K, and Dale A Lister with spouse Cheryl. Grounded by her faith, Dorothy was a cornerstone for her family; her tender care and ministrations encompassing:

Grandson Christopher Merril, spouse Michele, and great-grandchildren Logan, Sabrina, and Chirs Merrill;

Granddaughter Jenz Merrill and great-grandchild Shawn Merrill;

Granddaughter Tiffany Hunsinger, spouse Jeff, and great-grandchildren Alexa, Mason, and MacKenzie;

Step-Grandchildren Daniel Kennedy, spouse Grace, and Annie Kennedy;

In addition to her numerous nieces and nephews.

Dorothy’s love will long live in the memories of all those she touched. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Bakersfield National Cemetery in Arvin, California.
