

Gordon was born in Rockville Centre.New York on July 11, 1953 to Gordon Hugh Moore Senior and wife Linnie Louise Davidson Moore. He spent his younger years in Amityville Long Island, where he attended Amityville High School.
After high school, he proudly joined the military, for his country. He was in the Navy from 1970 to 1975 . He served on the aircraft carrier the USS Oriskany CV-34, where he did several tours of Vietnam.
Once discharged from the Navy, he landed in Northern California and made his way down to Long Beach. His eldest child, Linnie Anne, was born in 1977 and proceeds him in death. (2003)
In 1979 he met the love of his life, Nancy Ferguson Moore. They married in 1981 and moved to the Antelope Valley, where Gordon went on to work in the Aerospace industry at Northrop Grummann. He eventually ended his career as a radar engineer and retired in 2011.
During this time, they raised 2 beautiful daughters, Linnie Anne and Ashley Nicole. Upon his daughter Linnie's passing in 2003, Gordon and Nancy raised their precious granddaughter, Yasmeen.
His family was his life. Gordon and family enjoyed countless hours at the lakes, both local and Lake Havasu. It was his dream to retire there, which was the plan for 2024.
Gordon and Nancy enjoyed traveling and taking their motorcycle on numerous jouneys. Gordon made friends wherever he went. He has his Nascar friends, his motorcycle buddies, his VFW friends, and most anyone he knew was his friend. He also traveled with friends and family to Hawaii several times, took several cruises, and ventured to Ireland and Scotland. He finally made it to Sturgis in 2022 and most recently, in December, to El Salvador where he hoped, one day, to return there with his family for a beautiful vacation.
Gordon led a full, adventurous life and said he had no regrets. He was a devoted and loving husband, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Nancy Ferguson Moore. his daughter, Ashley Nicole Moore (life partner Daniel Matos) and son in law Frank Valenzuela, his grandchildren, Yasmeen Nicole Nammour (fiance Alfonso Segura), Daniel Matos, Dominik Sebastian Matos and Mia Moore Matos, all of Lancaster CA, sister, Patricia Moore Best, of Orlando Florida (Benjamen Best). Survived by 3 sisters in law Laurie, Darla and Jo Anne (brother in law John) in AZ. He is leaving behind countless friends whom he considered his Family.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Linnie and parents Gordon and Linnie Moore.
He lives in our hearts forever.
Services to be held at Joshua Memorial in Lancaster at 2:00 pm Saturday 2/25/2023 and reception to follow at VFW 3000 Quartz Hill.
