

Guadalupe Saldivar Jr. peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the age of 70, surrounded by his family. Guadalupe was born on July 16,1955 in Corpus Christ, Texas to Guadalupe and Sylvia Saldivar. It was in Corpus Christi that he met and married his wife Rosie on August 25,1973 before he joined the Air Force. Guadalupe retired from the Air Force in 1993 after 20 years of service. During the time Guadalupe was in the Air Force he and his family were stationed in Lakenheath, England; Holloman, New Mexico, and lastly at Edwards Air Force Base until he retired in 1993. Guadalupe continued to dedicate his life to the service of the government with his work as an aircraft mechanic at Edwards Air Force base until his death. Guadalupe was a resident of Rosamond, California since 1997.
Beginning in 1998, Guadalupe became a strong contributor in the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) program whereby he was an advocate and mentor to a multitude of individuals over the last 27 years. In addition, for the last nine years, Guadalupe had been a participant in the L.A. Marathon and was identified as a L.A. Loyal Runner.
Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife Rosie Saldivar; two children Rick (Angel) Saldivar and Joann Turpeau, and his four grandchildren Ariann Turpeau, Amya Turpeau, Aryk Saldivar, and Deryk Saldivar. Additional survivors of Guadalupe include his siblings Francisco and Mary Saldivar, both of Corpus Christ, and Fred Saldivar of Sacramento. Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents, Guadalupe & Sylvia Saldivar and older sister, Gloria Lugo.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Joshua Mortuary located at 3150 E. Palmdale Blvd, Palmdale, CA 93550. Guadalupe’s final resting place will be at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.
