Julie Kohler Bateman

Julie was born on June 27, 1957 to Jack and Sharyn Kohler in Los Angeles California. After graduating from John Marshall High School in 1976, she went on to start her family and hold a variety of different jobs.

In high school, she met Robert "Bob" Bateman, they wed in 1977, going on to have 2 children, Jennifer and Amanda. A few years after Julie and Bob divorced, she met Rick Nelson whom she had a loving 28 year relationship starting in 1997, and eventual marriage in 2021.

After retiring from her last job at Ralph's, Julie spent her time enjoying camping, fishing, and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren, friends, and pets.

Julie was predeceased by her parents and former husband Robert Bateman. She is survived by her husband, Rick Nelson; her sister Kathleen Lopez; her two daughters Jennifer (Mitch) Spacone and Amanda (Sean) Bateman (Stevenson); her step-children Niki Borst and Rick Nelson; her five grandchildren Travis and Julia Stevenson and Alexis, Nathan, and Brooklyn Borst; along with her beloved pets Coco, Lavern and Shirley.
