Evangelist Karen "Kay" Jenae Caston, age 59, passed away peacefully October 17,2021. She was born March 16, 1962 in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was the eldest out of her 6 siblings. She later had Anthony Caston (Deceased), first grandchild to Willie and Odessa Caston.
Kay loved people. She also shared her love with fashion, make up, music, dancing and traveling. Karen grew up in a military family so she had the chance to live in different parts of the United States and Europe. She attended schools in Springfield, MA; Wilmington, NC; Little Rock and Pine Bluff, AK; Denver, CO; Columbus, MS, Phoenix, AZ; San Antonio, TX; Germany; and Italy. She graduated from Aviano Italy High School in 1981 where she ran track. After High School Kay attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff for one year. Then she joined the U.S. Navy for four years serving in the Medical Corp. Next, she worked in Numerous medical offices in San Diego and the Antelope Valley, NASA Dryden Flight Research Center, on Edwards AFB, CA and The Bank of America Center in Lancaster CA. Karen would say “her greatest accomplishment was completing the Evangelist program and with her sister Tammy Caston Wheeler (Deceased), they successfully brought her brother Steve and son Anthony to the Lord. She also was a member of the “Covenant Worship Center” of Antelope Valley and Inglewood CA.
She leaves behind her father and mother, Willie and Odessa Caston of Palmdale, CA. Sister: Sonya Mayes Owings Mills, Maryland Brothers: Darriel Caston (Monica) Folsom, CA, Butch Caston (Angie) Calgary Canada, and Steve Caston (Richland, WA); Devoted nephew and nieces: Sarah, Deron, Ebone’, Mikayla, Dominic, Jerionna, Etasha, Jaden, Ionna, Bella, Talin, Juice, Little Stevie and great nieces: Raelynn, Jheda and Kenney Love. She has a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and family comedian who often enjoyed walking in rooms just to dance in exchange for a smile and a giggle. It may seem like a small thing, but everyone has many parts of them that make up their character and to all whom loved her dearly will never forget her tenacity, wit, charm, grace and unconditional love. There is always something in a person that is the core of them, it's what really defines them, it's their special gift from the Lord Jesus Christ. Kay’s special gift was never ever leaving you without you knowing that she loved you, and sincerely cared for you. There is comfort in that. So, if you can take anything away from her life, then take Kay’s gift to all of us and make it part of your own. Always let those around you know that you love and care for them.
