April 8, 1952 – October 7, 2025
With deep sorrow and love, we announce the passing of Concesa “Connie” Lubaton, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Born in Dumaguete City, Philippines, Connie lived a life filled with faith, kindness, and dedication to those she loved. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in Banking and Finance, from St. Michael’s College in Iligan City, Philippines. Her professional career began in banking—serving at FNCB, City Trust Bank, and Bank of the Philippine Islands, before becoming a Bank Manager at Farmer’s Bank in Valencia, Bukidnon.
In the early 2000s, Connie migrated to the United States, where she worked tirelessly as a caregiver, nanny, and housekeeper, devoted to providing a better life for her family.
Connie is the beloved wife of the late Felipe “Butch” Lubaton, Jr, and the loving mother of John, Michael, Carmela, and Paul, who lovingly call her “Mommy.” She is also the cherished grandmother of her only grandson, JP Jr., who adores her as “Mamoo.”
To her nieces and nephews, she is affectionately known as “Mommy Con”—a second mother who gave freely of her love and care. To her friends, both lifelong and new, Connie was a fun, patient, genuine, and dependable companion, whose warmth and laughter created lasting bonds that will be treasured forever.
A woman of deep faith, Connie was an active member of the Archdiocesan Charismatic Community and Music Ministry in Cagayan de Oro City, as well as the BCBP Los Angeles Chapter and its Music Ministry in California.
Fulfilling one of her lifelong dreams, Connie made a pilgrimage to Rome, visiting the Vatican City, seeing the Pope, and venerating the relics of Padre Pio, St. Carlo Acutis, and other beloved saints. She joyfully entered four Jubilee Holy Doors in Italy—a fitting testament to her unwavering faith and devotion. Her final weeks were filled with happiness, gratitude, and peace.
