Rutherford is survived by his daughters Joann, Lori, Berta and his son in law Roger Sr.; his grandchildren Amanda, Cyann, Ja'lee, Jaleen, Gwyneth, Garrett, Rosalie, Yaritza, Yanaris Roger Jr..

Rutherford was preceded in death by his grandchild Jalyn.

A memorial service for Rutherford will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Funeraria del Angel Panorama City, 14629 Nordhoff Street, Panorama City, California 91402.

Following the memorial service will be an inurnment from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Los Angeles National Cemetery, 950 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90049.
