Alice Landman Goemans

Known to her loving grandchildren as Gigi, Alice was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to parents G. Frederic Landman and Elizabeth Fox Landman Dewart. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, George Goemans, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Alice was also predeceased by her brother and his wife Frederick and Patricia Landmann, brother-in-laws Robert C. Goemans, James H. Coerper, and her granddaughter Sydney H. Grant.

Alice leaves behind her son Scott, his wife Kathy, and granddaughter Lizzie; her daughter Kimberly Grant, her husband Angus, and granddaughters Caroline and Gillian; and her son Craig, his wife Jodi, and grandson Maxwell. Alice was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend whose kindness, grace, and warmth touched everyone who knew her. We are grateful for the love she gave so generously throughout her life and for the memories we will forever carry forward. We are thankful for our extended family whom our mother enjoyed spending time with throughout her life. We would like to recognize the compassionate care our Mother received during her illness from her care givers and physicians .

Passing so close to Thanksgiving, we are reminded that thankfulness isn’t only about celebrating joy — it is also about honoring what is meaningful. This year, our gratitude comes in quieter forms: remembering Gigi’s grace, appreciating the moments she shaped, and recognizing the love that continues even in her absence. We are thankful for the strength she instilled in us, for the stories that still make us smile, and for the family she held together with such warmth.
