Tony was born to Anthony and Mary (nee Palma) on June 10,1958 in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Bristol, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Bishop Egan High School in 1976, and continued his educations at the University of Scranton, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. Tony then went on to establish a career with a private sub-accounting firm called Funds Associates Limited. Upon his retirement, he had achieved the position of managing director at BNY.
Growing up, Tony's father taught him the trade of auto body work. When he was 15 years old, they built his first favorite hot rod--a perfect 1970 Chevy Nova SS 350--welding a 1970 front end and a 1972 rear end. They became his high school "wheels," and his favorite car for many years. Growing up Tony's father took him and his brother to Sunday Phillies games at Connie Mack Stadium. And later, Tony and his father held Sunday season tickets for 30 years. Together, they shared every player's ups and downs with his brother. He always enjoyed witty banter and texting of sports with his high school and college friends.
Tony and Michelle (nee Phinn) were married in 1989 and shared a beautiful life together--one of laughter, love and faith. For over 36 years, they enjoyed traveling, gardening, sports, and spending time with their dogs. He enjoyed working on home renovations--laying kitchen tile, designing and constructing a hall tree, wainscoting, and even building a birdhouse that looked like the house he and his wife helped to design in 2002.
Affectionately known as "Tonz" to his wife and "Nucch" to many friends, Tony was a terrific husband, brother, uncle, son, and friend. Tony's strong will, his wisdom, his wry sense of humor, and his caring nature has left an unforgettable mark on all those who knew him.
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Anthony. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; his brother, Vincent; and his mother, Mary; nephew, Danny; and niece, Marie.
