Bernadette C. Young

Bernadette (nee Caccia) Young, 82, passed away on April 21, 2018. She is the widow of John W. Young III. She is survived by her 5 children: Tina (Robert) Saurman, Daryl Young, Bernadette (Jim) Rogers, Ken (Chris) Young, and Michele Gunther. Bernie also had 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Bernie was born and raised in Bryn Mawr and went to St. Katherine’s High School in Wayne. She moved to Paoli a few years after having her first 2 children where she was a stay at home mom until 1970. She went to work at National Liberty in Frazer until she retired in 1994. Shortly thereafter, she and her husband John opened Paoli Beverage. Bernie worked at the store until early 2017.

Bernie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the slot machines; and not necessarily in that order!

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, April 30th at 10:30 am at the Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. 1724 E. Lancaster Ave. Paoli, PA. Visitation will be from 9:30- 10:30 Monday morning. Burial Private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to; Family Centered Maternity Unit at Paoli Hospital, 255 West Lancaster Ave., Paoli, PA 19301.
