Betty Fidella Mayo

Betty was born in West Chester memorial hospital February 11, 1939 to Kathryn and Wilbur Woodson.

She grew up in Sugartown, PA with her family on Willisbrook farm. She went to Greentree elementary in Malvern, PA. She had a passion for horses and worked for The Devereux Foundation and The Daily Local News in the advertising department.

After meeting the love of her life, David Mayo in 1953, they attended Conestoga High School in Berwyn, PA graduating in the class of 1957.

In June of 1960 they married and raised 2 children Beverly and David. Betty had a passion for cooking and homemaking in their home in Paoli, PA. She loved singing, playing piano, sewing and crafting. She was an avid Flyers and Philly’s fan. She also enjoyed camping, boating and traveling to the shore with her family. She was a doting grandmother to her only Grandson Eric.

Surviving is her husband of 64 years David, daughter Beverly and her husband Lawrence, son David and wife Barbara and grandson Eric. Her parents Kathryn and Wilbur preceded her in death.

A viewing for Betty will be held Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Alleva Funeral Home, Inc., 1724 E Lancaster Ave, Paoli, Pennsylvania 19301. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 1724 E Lancaster Ave, Paoli, Pennsylvania 19301. A burial will occur Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, PA 19355.
