

Carolyn Ann Park, age 66, passed away on November 7th from complications related to cancer. Carol was a strong person with a big heart and her will and determination allowed her to fight bravely until the end, when she passed peacefully in her beautiful home surrounded by family and friends.
She was a long time resident of Chester Springs, PA. Carol was born on October 15, 1959 in Philadelphia, PA, to parents Michael and Kathryn. She graduated from Conestoga High School in 1977. She then continued her education, graduating from Duke University in 1981 with a B.A. degree. She was also a graduate of the Harvard OPM program. Carol went on to establish a career in the technology and human resources fields, also working in other management areas while working for Clearfield Energy for over 40 years.
Carol was preceded in death by her father and mother and is survived by brothers John, Mike and Bob as well as nephews Nicolas, Christopher and Jason Park as well as step-niece Sophia Harris and step-nephews Tobias and Benjamin Veil. Carol also had many close friends and they and their children were like family to her.
Carol was a devoted animal lover with many pets including two dogs, four rabbits and a cat. In addition to her house pets Carol was an enthusiastic horse rider from her earliest childhood competing in local events such as the Devon Horse Show as a teenager. Carol was also a longtime horse owner, with seven horses at the time of her passing.
She was a big fan of music, especially classic rock, often travelling to see bands including just a month before her death. She also loved to travel, enjoying many trips to Italy with family members and sailings excursions all over the world with close friends.
Carol was also a supporter of cultural institutions in the Philadelphia area, supporting both the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Barnes Museum. She also supported the Philadelphia Horticultural Society and was a member of Longwood Gardens and loved visiting the magnificent grounds there. She was also a supporter of Wildlife Media, an animal rights organization and Feeding America as well as other charitable organizations.
A celebration of life will be held at a date to be announced which will allow all those who cared about Carol to attend.
