Charles Edward Weir

Charles Edward Weir “Chuck” formerly of Berwyn, PA and more recently of East Norriton, PA passed away of natural causes on Thursday, October 20, 2016. Charles was the loving & devoted husband of Mary B. (nee Kliwinski) Weir for over 68 years. Surviving are 4 children: Lynne (Whelan), Kathleen (Hess), Sue-Ellen (Medinger) & Robert Bruce Weir; 13 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren. His siblings include Betty Blalock, Lucy Weir, step-brother Henry Crater, and deceased step-brother Donald Weir. Charles was a WWII Navy veteran, who enjoyed a distinguished career at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, where he rose to become VP of Material Management. He and his wife were world travelers. He also enjoyed the outdoors, particularly as an assistant scout master of Devon 50 (Boy Scouts of America). He was an avid reader, music aficionado, tennis player, and loved spending winters with his wife in St. Augustine, FL. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday October 26, 2016, 1030AM at Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. in Paoli, PA. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation from 930-1030AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken (date to be announced). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charles’ honor to the Devon 50 Boy Scouts organization (www.Devon50.org).
