Dorothy was a long-time resident of Dunwoody Village, Newtown Square, Pa. She was born on July 12, 1938, in New York City, to the late parents, Stephen and Rose Powell.
She graduated from Hunter College High School, and received a bachelor’s degree from Wells College. Dorothy attended University of Michigan Graduate School and graduated cum laude from University of Cincinnati Medical School, College of Pharmacy. Dorothy had a lustrous career in pharmaceutical research and development.
Dorothy loved traveling, reading, art, and was active in many community and church activities, until her health prevented her from doing so. She loved her cats.
Dorothy will be missed by her friends and co-workers.
Burial will be private.
