2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 8, 1937, in Devon, PA, to Amedeo
and Ernestine Rofi, Ed leaves behind his beloved wife of 62 years, Andrea (Robin) Weed Rofi,
and a cherished extended family of more than two dozen nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his son Christopher, his parents, and his sisters Dora Novelli, Jean Zerbato, and
Adelaide Santoleri.
A graduate of Tredyffrin-Easttown High School (1955) and Villanova University (1959), where
he earned his Business Administration degree, Ed built a remarkable career as an entrepreneur.
Following his marriage to Robin in September 1962, he founded several successful companies,
beginning with Worlco Data, and culminating in National Healthcare LLC, which he actively
managed until his passing.
Ed's life was profoundly shaped by the loss of his only child, Christopher, who succumbed to a
rare neurological disorder in August 2008. This heartbreaking experience inspired Ed to establish
Angel Companions, a company dedicated to providing compassionate home healthcare services
to those in need, transforming personal tragedy into a mission of service to others.
A passionate Philadelphia sports enthusiast and longtime Phillies season ticket holder, Ed
embraced his Italian heritage with characteristic enthusiasm. His numerous trips to Italy and the
creation of the Paoli Pasta Company reflected his deep connection to his roots. Summer days in
Ocean City, NJ, became treasured traditions, as did his legendary summer crab parties and
holiday gatherings that brought family together.
Ed will be forever remembered for his entrepreneurial spirit, dedication to family, and ability to
create meaningful connections through both his business ventures and personal relationships.
Though his physical presence will be deeply missed, his legacy of love, compassion, and service
to others will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, January 14th, beginning at
