

Married to the late Rico DiGuiseppe for 55 years. Loving mother to James (Linda) DiGuiseppe, Susan (Mark) Witts and Todd (Renee) DiGuiseppe. Caring grandmother to Megan, Karen, Lucy and Kerri DiGuiseppe. Aunt, cousin and godmother to many.
She is predeceased by her parents Miguel and Rose, brother Nick, and sisters Helen & Ida.
A 1951 graduate of Berwyn School, Ellie worked at the water company before she married in 1962. She later transitioned to a stay at home mom and in 1980 worked as a cafeteria manager at Hillside Elementary school for 15 years. A fixture at St. Monica’s church for over 60 years, active as a Eucharistic Minister and in Merry Widows, she often attended mass daily before her health started to fade. Ellie, along with her late husband, was a longtime election volunteer at the polls, and did a lot of work with non-profits and charities.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking and traveling. She loved to make homemade pasta, desserts and many other dishes for all to enjoy. Eleanor was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, as well as a Penn State football and Villanova basketball fan.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, December 20, at 11:00 AM at St. Monica Church in Berwyn. Viewing Saturday morning at St. Monica’s from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Monica cemetery in Berwyn.
