

H. Howard Wisch, 78, of Malvern, PA passed away on Tuesday May 6, 2014. Howard was the beloved husband of Linda (nee Kirsch) Wisch. Howard grew up in Baltimore, MD, attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute and graduated Johns Hopkins in 1957 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He began his career at the Glenn L. Martin Company in Baltimore; first working on the Matador Missile Program, then became Reliability Manager for the Titan II Booster Rocket for the Gemini Space Program. His career next took him to Boeing in Seattle to work on Supersonic Transport. He later joined Westinghouse Industrial Gas Turbine Division in Philadelphia, becoming a well-respected, worldwide leading expert in his field, working in 52 countries. He was a member of the Scottish Rite, a Mason, and the Shriners. He served in the Army on active duty and reserves for 11 years. For over 40 years, he was an avid boater on the Chesapeake Bay and Commodore of his yacht club 3 times. He was a supporter of Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Surviving are 2 children: H. Howard (Lindsey) Wisch, Jr. & Allison K. (James) Hayes. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Caroline, Ellie & Henry Wisch and Tommy, Alex and Hadley Hayes. Relatives and friends may call on Sat. & Sun. from 5-7PM at Alleva Funeral Home, Inc. 1724 E. Lancaster Ave. Paoli, PA. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Mon. May 12th at Wayne Presbyterian Church: 125 E. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Howard’s honor to: Shriners Hospital for Children: 3551 N.
