John Andrew Pillion

John Andrew Pillion, beloved son of Anne Pillion and Andy Pillion (Elba Pillion), beloved brother to Matt Pillion (Jessica Pillion) and Emily Pillion, beloved stepbrother to Andrew and Melissa Lopez, and grandson of Thomas C. Pillion, Jr., passed away peacefully on July 10th surrounded by his family. John was preceded in death by his grandparents Patricia Pillion and Patricia and James Lehr.

John was a loving and kind-hearted soul with a wonderful sense of humor. He was an amazing font of knowledge which he demonstrated often while watching Jeopardy. He loved all things sports and took great joy watching his hometown teams--the Flyers, Eagles, Phillies, and Sixers as well as European soccer. He was an outstanding lacrosse player at Conestoga High School in Berwyn, PA and later at Susquehanna University. John loved his family dearly, including his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He loved his niece Madeline with all his heart and was a wonderful uncle to her. We are all much better for having known John during his brief 33 years on Earth and he will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at St. David’s Episcopal Church in Wayne, PA on Saturday, July 31st at 10:00 AM followed by a reception at the church. All are welcome. In celebration of John’s life, please wear something colorful.
