John F. Sensenich, Jr., died on Friday, September 18 at the age of 73. John is survived by his daughters, Shawn Lawn and Carrie Sensenich, son-in-law David Lawn, step-children Leigh Ann and JT Lakose, his grandchildren Meghan Forzani and Ryan Lawn, grandson-in-law Tyler Forzani, and his great-grandson Jameson Forzani.
John grew up in Yeadon, PA and as a young man, served in the US Navy on a destroyer in the Western Pacific South China Sea and the Gulf of Tonkin during the Vietnam War. He studied at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and, after moving to Dallas, TX, earned a Bachelors with honors in Business Administration at Southern Methodist University. He then moved back to Berwyn in 1980.
John worked for 32 years for Sungard Data Systems as an operations, marketing and product management executive, and after retirement, served as Director of Transportation for Surrey Services for Seniors in Berwyn, PA. When he was not working or with family, his greatest passion was deep sea fishing.
A private service will be held on October 4th. John asked that any donations be made to Philabundance in Philadelphia.
