He is predeceased by his parents Bagher and Manssoureh (Abdolhossein-Sarraf Boroujerdi)Molai Tehrani and a sister, Fatimeh.
Moe is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharyn (nee Kelly) and his two most stellar co-productions, daughters Rebecca Saldarini (Daniel) and Maura Henderson (Denny). His absolutely favorite people on the planet, grandchildren Layla, Hunter, Holden, and Ronan, called him Baba, a term most endearing to him. He was a beloved brother to Mehdi of Exton, PA, Majid of Tehran, Iran, Manouchehr of Weehawken, N.J and several nieces and nephews.
Moe came to the U.S. in October of 1968 and immediately hopped into the culture by learning English as a waiter at Hot Shoppes, Washington D.C. From there, he got a handle on the English language by enrolling in Montgomery Co. Maryland Community College and proceeded to earn his electrical engineering degree from the University of Maryland, where he graduated with a 4.0 average. His love of knowledge propelled him to Drexel University where he earned his masters degree in electrical engineering, again with a 4.0 average.
Moe’s professional career started with Kulicke and Soffa as a software/hardware design engineer, and went on to become founder and president of his own design and consulting company Assembly Technology Inc. as an inventor he was granted a U.S. patent for Smart Indexing Head For Universal Lead Frame Workstation. Not ignoring the right side of the brain he was proprietor of Manny‘s Place Food Eatery in Bala Cynwyd for 20 years, where accolades and awards were received, especially for his crab cakes!
Moe’s zest for life was demonstrated in many ways; he most especially enjoyed time with his family at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and in the Pocono mountains. He joyfully entertained by cooking sumptuous feasts for family and friends. A few of his favorite things were his monthly poker games with his Persian buddies, kebabs, PBR, cigars and sweets (especially Sue Sue's fudge)
A celebration of Moe’s life will be held on Friday, August 1 at Alleva Funeral Home in Paoli, PA. A visitation will begin at 11:00am, followed by a brief informal ceremony of spiritual readings and shared memories, concluding with a light luncheon.
