Michael Kent Ruhl

Loving husband, father, son, brother, and uncle

Michael K. Ruhl of Wayne, PA passed away on Monday October 15, 2012 at the age of 45 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Lancaster, PA, Mike grew up in Manheim, PA and graduated from Manheim Central High School. An accomplished scholar, he received a BA in history from Franklin & Marshall College and a Masters Degree in Latin American history from Ohio University graduating with honors. Mike spent most of his career with Spalding Automotive in various managerial capacities, lastly as Director of Human Resources.

Mike was a loyal member of the St. John’s Presbyterian Church for many years where he served as an Elder, played in the brass ensemble, and sang in the choir.

Mike was an avid and accomplished tennis player and was active in several leagues.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Lisa Howell; his 10 year old son, Kent; his mother, Sandra Ruhl; and his sister Kendra Russano. His father, L. Kent, and twin brother, Mark Andrew, preceded him in death.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial at St. John’s Presbyterian Church in Devon, PA on Wednesday, October 24th at 11:00a.m.. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would be grateful for a donation in Mike’s name to either The American Cancer Society or The Cancer Center of Paoli Hospital.
