passed through this earth’s veil with a smile on his face, returning to his heavenly home on January 29, 2022 after battling cancer for multiple years. He was surrounded by his beloved wife, Abby, and his family. Paul was born July 5, 1977 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Thelma (Whitcher) Amberson and Eugene Amberson. He was happy from the start. We remember the beautiful smile, which he had throughout his life, his dry sense of humor and the strength of his love for his family and for all things good. He grew up in Columbus, Wisconsin and graduated from Columbus High School. He was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Paul came to earth with an innate desire to choose the right. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission in the Utah Salt Lake City mission. After completing his mission he attended MATC in Madison, Wisconsin, graduating with an associate degree in Information Technology. He married the love of his life, Abigail Louise Clarke for time and all eternity in the Nauvoo Illinois Temple on June 29, 2006. After living and working in Madison, Wisconsin, Paul and Abby went on an adventure 13 years ago involving an employment opportunity in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. They set their roots in Devon just a short distance from the Valley Forge historical site. Paul was loved by and actively served in his church congregation and in the Philadelphia LDS temple. He enjoyed all sports. Abby and he were able to travel to Peru, Hawaii, Canada and many points in the United States. Paul showed us quiet courage throughout his life. He came to earth with a strong moral compass and remained true to his values without fanfare. Paul is survived by his wife, Abby Amberson, his parents, Thelma and Eugene Amberson, siblings Rebecca (Bret) Williams, Matthew (Bethany) Amberson, Kari (Paul) Osterhaus, father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Joan Clarke, sister-in-law, Jennifer (Jeff) Marchek, brothers-in-law, Peter Clarke, Timothy (Sylvia) Clarke and 16 nieces and nephews. Interment will be at the Leipsig Cemetery, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Paul’s family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful PennMedicine Oncology and Hospice teams and so many others for their excellent and compassionate care, prayers, love and sweet support.
