Priscilla Braden Ripple Baysinger passed in her sleep peacefully in her great grandfather’s bed on Friday July 28th, 2023.
Priscilla was born in Warren, Ohio to Elizabeth and Harold Ripple. She had a brother named “Johnny” who passed away at the age of 16 years old. Priscilla graduated from the oldest all girls school in the country: Linden Hall in 1953. It is there her love of horses was ignited. She attended Mary Washington in VA, and transferred to Ohio Wesleyan where she met her husband Bill Baysinger (Wilson Demont Baysinger) in astronomy class. They moved to the Main Line in the early 1960’s.
Priscilla had three daughters: Brenda Meredith Baysinger Watkins of Wayne, PA, Beth Baysinger Hagerty of Aspen, CO, and Barbara Baysinger of Hoonah, Alaska. Priscilla and her girls lived in Strafford on Wentworth Road. Priscilla cherished her two granddaughters, and shared with them her passion of life and horses. Grace Watkins, a teacher of Manayunk, Philadelphia, and Taylor van Zyl, owner of Pair of Dice Carriages and trainer of horses in Colorado.
Priscilla’s colorful, gregarious personality shaped the lives of her family and friends. She was a realtor in Wayne for Andrews and Pinkstone in the 1970’s, she lived in North Palm Beach, FL for 15 years, participating in Palm Beach Polo, and later returned to her dream house and life on Goshen/Providence Rd., Fox Hunting with Radnor Hunt. She was an avid reader, loved her geraniums, and orchids, was a talented self -taught interior decorator, and had a never ending zeal for life. She lived big dreams, had an adventurous spirit, and a huge heart. We will miss her dearly.
