Richard Edward Holck was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

He left this world on May 31, 2021, at age 75. His long battle with heart disease showed his courage in facing life challenges with humor and a smile. Despite the struggles, Richard came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

He was born to John and Eileen (nee Kelly) Holck on February 28, 1946, in Brooklyn NY. After graduating from Erasmus Hall High School in 1964, he entered the workforce to begin a long and successful career. In 1967, he married the love of his life, Rosemarie DiMaiuta. Together, they had 3 children: Lynn Marie (Stu), Christopher, and Richard II. A strong and loving family, after leaving Brooklyn, they lived happily in Toms River, NJ, Pittsford, NY, Burlington, CT, Ellicott City, MD, and Wayne, PA. His greatest accomplishment was being “PopPop” to his two grandsons, Win and Ricky. Richard was an avid reader and lifelong learner who loved spending time with his family and friends.

Richard will be lovingly remembered by his brothers, Robert (Aiki) and Donald, and was predeceased by his sister Carole Mueller (George). He will also be forever remembered by his numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Heart Association on his behalf. Memorial mass will be held on Saturday, July 17th, 2021, at 11 am at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church, Wayne, PA.

I have so many fond memories of Sal, you, Bobo and I going to AC. I remember saying whoever won was paying for the food that night. It was usually you because you seem to always win. I remember us going there for the February birthdays (Yours, Sal's and Frank's). We even got Frank and JoJo to come with us a couple of times. Then there were the dinners with Robert & Linda when they came over or we went to see them. The family vacations to Sea Isle and the Hamptons. Christmas Eve by your daughter Lynn's house. We spent a lot of time together over the years and they were good times. You were always there to help with whatever came up. I always knew there was a reason God wanted us to live in Chesterbrook with you and Bobo and it was so that we could help each other out when needed. Richie, I will look after Bobo and make sure she's doing okay. I will check in on your children and grandsons. I will be there for all of them as you were for all of us. You rest in peace and I know that we'll see each other again one day. Always loved and never forgotten. Love you, Diana

Uncle Richie was great man who loved his family dearly. I have fond memories of him, especially at our Christmas Eve gatherings at Lynn's house. We will miss him greatly and know that he will never be forgotten.
