Suzanne Frederick

Suzanne was born and raised in Queens, New York. Her parents were Henry Themal and Nancy Greenstone. She graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a BS in English and Business. She earned an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources from the University of Connecticut. Suzanne earned a Paralegal Education Certificate from Villanova University, where she also took post-master's classes in Human Resources Development.

While working on her MBA she met her husband-to-be, Frank Frederick. They were married in Weston, Connecticut, in 1989.

From an early age, Suzanne knew she wanted to be a mother, and with her husband, she raised four children. One of her labors of love consisted of feeding her family with healthy home-cooked meals on a near-daily basis. She was active in all her children’s lives, supporting them from their early years into adulthood with everything from editing school essays to being there through life’s challenges.

She spent 27 years as a human resources professional during which she worked for technology, legal, family-owned, and nonprofit organizations. She was involved with several nonprofits—with a focus on helping children in need, underserved populations, and communities—including Supportive Older Women’s Network, Court Appointed Special Advocate, Cornerstone Christian Academy, Brain Injury Association of Delaware, and Phoenixville Area Time Bank. Suzanne enjoyed hiking, bicycling, and camping adventures with her family. She was also a competitive scrabble player.

She is survived by her husband Frank, children Ryan, Jason, Mark, and Eric as well as her sister Andrea. Contributions in Suzanne’s memory may be made to Mustard Seed Communities, 29 Janes Avenue, Medfield, MA 02052

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at St. John's Presbyterian Church
