Thomas Gerard Ashdale, on October 16, 2014, age 87, died peacefully at the Coatesville VA Medical Center, he was formerly of Paoli. Husband of the late Rita R. Ashdale. Father of; Rita A. Ashdale, Amelia A. Hope, Patricia R. Ashdale & Thomas G. Ashdale, Jr. Grandfather of; Christian Nosal.
A retired Sergeant of the US Marine Corp who served from 1948-1952 in the Korean Conflict where he was wounded at the battle of “Chosin Reservoir” in 1950, and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Following the Marine Corp he worked for Burroughs Corporation and retired after 32 years.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Friday, October 24th at 11:00 at St. Norbert Church in Paoli. Viewing Friday morning 9:30-11:00 in the Church’s Oratory. Int. at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to: Coatesville VAMC, Community Living Center, Recreational Therapy, building 138, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA. 19320.
