I was so sorry to hear the news of Amber's passing from her dear Grandparents Jim & Pat.  Although I never met Amber, I just know she must have been a wonderful person. Please accept my sincere condolences for her family and friends.  May you find comfort as you pray for her spirit to intercede on behalf of those left behind on earth.  May the Lord provide special blessings to you through her spirit. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.  With sincere sympathies.

I was so sad to hear about your Mommy! I know she loved you dearly. You were very special to her, and I know she was very special to you. As your second grade teacher, I remember how your eyes would light up when you would see your Mom either walking down the hall or coming in our classroom. I enjoyed getting to know your Mom when she worked at Carriage Hill. You now have a very special angel watching over you every day. You are very special to me, Hunter. If you ever need anything, I am here for you.

Amber, I can't tell you how much I miss you.  You are the best sister anyone could ever have.  You are one of the most beautiful people I ever had the pleasure of sharing life with.  You're selfless heart, gracious spirit, and tenacious devotion are just some of you're remarkable traits.  One day I will join you and we can make each other laugh again. Amber came into my life when I was 16 years old. I had to be the proudest uncle alive.  I love you Amber and will forever miss you. Until we see each other again, I know you will watch over us.

My sweet Dawson/Penry/Smoyer family, one of the greatest comforts that we have is that family members that have gone before us will be there to greet loved ones. I can't help but picture your Aunt Shirley standing in heaven waiting with open arms and a beautiful smile with perfect recognition to welcome Amber and show her what she has found in her first six weeks of heaven.  May they run in perfect peace with no pain together until the rejoiceful day that we join them.  "And God shall wipe the tears from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, and there shall be no more pain."

Our daughter was a glorious gift from God for 32 years. She has left our sight but never our memory.  We know she hears our prays and cries of grief and loneliness. And yet, together, we will endure.  I don't know when we will see her again, only that we will. Until then, wait for us Amber---we will hold you once again, we will walk by your side, we will brush your hair from your brow and kiss your fair cheek.
