Elizabeth was born on August 17, 1934, in Union, Nebraska to Wilbur and Wilma Eaton. In September of 1975 she married the love of her life, Charles Long. Elizabeth had a fulfilling career as a Nurse, touching the lives of countless patients over her tenure. She was known for her dedication and compassion serving for over 50 years. Outside of her professional life, Elizabeth loved gardening, water aerobics, and participating in health and wellness programs.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Wilma Eaton; daughter, Lynn; brother, Ernie; sister, Regina.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles; son, Paul; daughter, Teresa; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Carol; many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her kind heart, her unwavering love for her family, and her dedication to helping others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Eastern Nebraska Veteran’s Home.
