

Georgia “Ginger” Sue Christiansen, daughter of Frances Mae McKeen (Sievers) and George Henry William Sievers, was born April 21st, 1943, in Omaha Nebraska. Ginger graduated from Benson High School in 1961. After high school she attended beauty school and worked at Brandeis, Print and Pack, LB Roundy, American Diaper Service, The Wellington, and L & G Cleaning Company.
Ginger and Larry Christiansen were united in marriage on November 17th, 1967. The settled and made their home in Papillion, Nebraska with their two children Steven and Stacy.
Ginger will always be remembered for her keen sense of humor, laughter, caring nature, and determination. She was a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Ginger enjoyed bowling, softball, playing cards, Nebraska Volleyball, Nebraska Football, celebrating holidays, and loved playing games with family and friends.
Ginger died on March 4th, 2025, surrounded by her daughter, son, and family, at the age of 81 years old. Ginger was preceded in death by her parents Frances Mae McKeen (Sievers) and George Henry William Sievers, her husband Larry Gene Christiansen, and brother George Sievers.
Ginger is survived by her two children: Steven Christiansen, Stacy (Mike) Smith; Sisters Marjorie (Randy) Roundy, Billie Joe (Ron) Hardy, and Lori (Tom) Huddleston; Grandchildren Tyson (Trish) Christiansen, Kyli Christiansen, Kelsey (Aaron) Gall, Tyler (Kelsey) Christiansen, Taylor (Nick) Maze, and Mackenzie Smith; Great Grandchildren, Ryder, Beau, Reagan, Gabriel, Baylor, Rae, Kaden, and Brigham; and beloved nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Ginger’s legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
