Hollis Uhel Cook

June 2, 1932 - October 19, 2022

Hollis passed away on October 19, 2022 in Papillion, NE at the age of 90. He was born June 2, 1932 in Burke, New York to Uhel James and Etta (Brown) Cook. He joined the U. S. Air Force January 1951 being stationed in Wyoming and Austria during the Korean War, arriving at Lincoln Air Force Base until his discharge Dec 1954.

Hollis made Lincoln his home, where he met Jacqueline "Jackie" Dill. The couple married June 21, 1957, making Lincoln their home. Hollis and Jackie moved to Papillion in 1958 while he he worked for Western Electric until 1991. During his life in Papillion he joined the Volunteer Fire Department in 1962 until he stepped back in 1997. Hollis and Jackie were Charter Members of Faith Presbyterian Church.

Hollis enjoyed working on cars with his son and grandson. He loved to travel back to Burke, New York to see family and friends and fleeing to Florida for the winter.

Hollis is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jackie, his Children: Alan (Betty) Cook and Dianne (Scott) Bond. Grandchildren: Edward (Gabby) Tuite, Katherine (Jason) Hardin, Ashley Fitton, Christopher Brooks, Ryan Cook, Brayden Bond, Caden "CJ" Bond. Great Grand-Daughters: Meghan Tuite, Alyssa Fry, Emma Erickson, Virginia Erickson, Paisley Reeder,. Half-Sister: JoAnne Halluin, Half-Brother: Frank Forbes. Honorary Sisters: Patricia Davidson, Joyce Kunert and Norma Wolfe. Many Nieces and Nephews.
