Howard E. Sorensen

Howard was born June 12, 1939 to Earl and Lettie Sorensen in Omaha, NE. He graduated from Omaha North High School in 1957. He served in the US Coast Guard Reserves for 6 years. He was an installer at Western Electric. After retirement he drove for Redshaw Paint Supply and Woodhouse - Blair.

He married Judy Ellis on December 18th, 1960. They lived in Omaha for a brief time then moved to Ralston. There they raised two children: Steve and Elizabeth. He was a 23 year member of the Ralston Volunteer Fire Department where he served as First Aid Captain and one year as Chief.

Howard was blessed with 5 grandsons: Matt, Adam, Dustin, Ryan and Tyler. He had 5 great grandkids: Ethan, Benjamin, Makenna, Amelia and Howie.

Howard enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Preceded in death by parents: Earl and Lettie Sorensen and Brother: Bob Sorensen. Survived by Wife Judy of 60 years. Children: Steve and Elizabeth (Kevin). Grandchildren: Matt, Dustin & Tyler Sorensen, Adam & Ryan Grazier. Great Grandchildren: Ethan, Makenna & Howie Grazier and Benjamin and Amelia Sorensen. Sister-in-law Lois Sorensen. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation at Messiah Lutheran Church, Ralston NE. Friday from 5- 6:30 pm followed immediately by a Memorial Service starting at 6:30 pm. Private Family inurnment.
