Lavonne Krabbenhoft

Lavonne (Plambeck) Krabbenhoft, daughter of Marvin & Lucille (Mowinkel) was born August 1, 1936 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, NE. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Millard.

She attended Willowdale #45 County School from grades 1-8 and attended Millard High School from grades 9-12. She graduated in 1953. Following Graduation, she attended Burroughs Machine School and worked at Northern Natural Gas & Sidles Co.

She met Glenn Krabbenhoft at the Music Box in Omaha and they were married October 27, 1956 at St. Paul's Church.

She was blessed with 4 Children: Allen (Barb), Jolene, Kent (Deb) and Glenda (Rob Skiba) and 4 Grandchildren: Lisa, Megan, Cody Krabbenhoft & Cole Skiba. After her children were in school she went back to work at Millard Public Schools in 1971 as a media para and retired in 1998.

After retiring, she enjoyed bowling with several leagues earning many trophies and also started traveling by bus or car with Glenn visiting 47 of the 48 lower States and Alaska and Atlantic Provinces & Canada. Together they also visited Paris, France, London, England, Innsbruck, Austria, Germany and Belgium.

She enjoyed dancing and attended several polka fests including Toledo, OH., Kewaskum, WI., Amana, IA., Billings, MT., Las Vegas, NV., New Prague and Rochester MN., Tabor, SD and closer to home at Starlite Ballroom at Wahoo, NE. She was a 50 year member of Millardettes Extension Club and lifetime member of Nebraska Chapter one KWVA.

A visitation for Lavonne will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kahler-Dolce Mortuary, 441 N Washington St, Papillion, Nebraska. A graveside services will occur Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 188th & Q Street, Omaha, Nebraska.
