Margaret E Schlueter

Margaret Emma Schlueter was born September 1, 1921 to Walter and Elsie Schuessler and lived on the family farm near Boelus, NE with her siblings Earl, Paul, LaVonne and Norman. She graduated from Boelus High School and attended teachers college in Peru, NE while the family then moved to the farm near Bellevue. She married Herbert John Schlueter Jan 19, 1946 and resided on farms near Bellevue, Cedar Creek, and Weeping Water with their children Carol, Joan and Richard. She then resided the last 49 years in Papillion. Margaret finished her degree at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and had taught country schools in Howard and Cass counties, NE and then 23 years in Papillion Public Elementary Schools. She enjoyed her three children, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Margaret’s great joy was working with her school pupils and caring for her grandchildren, not to mention reading her library books and games of Pinochle with her brothers.

She is preceded in death by her parents Walter & Elsie Schuessler, husband Herbert, triplet sons, brother Paul and sister LaVonne Ruffner. She is survived by her children: Carol Schlueter, Gretna, NE., Joan McKenzie, Weeping Water, NE. Richard (Judy) Schlueter, Adel, IA. grandchildren: Melissa (Kent) Gledhill, Breckinridge, CO., Rebecca (Moses) Gines, San Bruno, CA., Elizabeth (Bryan) Lewis, Roseville, CA., Spencer (Jen Schmidt)McKenzie, St. Louis, MO., Jenna McKenzie, Kensington, CA., Michael (Michelle) Schlueter, Waukee, IA., David Schlueter, Waukee, IA., Lisa Schlueter, Adel, IA., Jonathan Schlueter, Adel, IA. great - grandchildren: Lucy, AnnaBelle, Polly, and Eve Gledhill, Hannah, Andrew and Nathan Schlueter. Brothers: Earl (Evelyn) Schuessler, Omaha, NE, Norman (Ruth) Schuessler, Omaha, NE., sister in law: Shirley Schuessler, Bellevue, NE., brother in law: Paul Ruffner, Bellevue, NE. 11 nieces and nephews, many other relatives.
