Rejoice with the angels, singing their praises unto the Lord  My Mother has passed from this world.  She has gained entry into heaven, Rejoice.

We hurt, not for her, as she has been relieved of her pains and sorrows, but for our loss.

But, she lives on in our memories, things that we can share with one another. She touched many people in a way that helped them to grow. She gave us her heart, showering us with love.  

Being a daughter,  a woman, a wife; going on to be a mother,  a teacher of young ones.  Being a grandmother and even leaving memories to her great grandchild as she touched his heart.

She was a great woman. To have known her as my mother, as a friend and many other roles that she was able to play in my life; all I can say is that I love her very much and will cherish the memories of her.

I am Carl Pomeroy, one of 3 children of Elwaine and Joanne Pomeroy.  Elwaine was the youngest brother of Eileen's mom, Mary.  

I remember that Eileen baby sat us a few times, and we would love for her to read us  a comic book story or two before bedtime.   We would always try to get her to read more, and usually could get one more.  She was firm and did not let us talk her into more.  She is the only babysitter that I can remember.

She was always very kind, gentle, and loving.

I am thankful for having her as part of the family.

With a heavy heart I write these words. We miss you! We miss your smiles and your love for life. 
But you gave us so much more to keep and cherish. Memories! Baking cookies, reading books, a stroll through the zoo, time for cuddles, playing boardgames and so much more.
Every day we think about you and all the things you showed us. 
Yes the distance was always hard but love can build bridges, stronger than anyone can imagine.
Yes we grieve your loss but time will help - not to forget but to see more of the time we did have together.
It is the time for grief but also to celebrate your life, the time we had together and the memories we were able to create. It is time to celebrate the life you shared, the stories you told!
We miss you very much! 
May you watch over us and see how loved you still are!

Mary Eileen has been a fantastic military wife and mother. A girl who had never been further from home than Kansas City married an Airman and followed him around the world!  I’m so glad that she chose me.

I was so sad to hear of Eileen's passing. Although I had not seen her in many years, I recall her as sweet, huggable and "My Buttercup."

Dave, although your heart is breaking, perhaps some solace in having found the right woman with whom to spend life many years ago.
