Dick was born in Spencer, Iowa on December 20, 1930, to parents Erwin and Margaret Harriman. He passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024 at the age of 93 and is now reunited with his loving wife, Evelyn Harriman, who passed away in 2019.
Dick is survived by his four daughters: Cindy (Dee) Weston, Nancy (Paul) Didwell, Jenny (Leigh) Van Winkle, Margaret (Matt) Haynes, along with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation and celebration of life will be Saturday, September 21, at Kahler-Dolce. The family will be available to greet visitors from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m., with a celebration of life service to be held at 11:30, followed by military funeral honors on the front lawn. The family will then proceed to St. Martha’s Episcopal Church for a private inurnment ceremony. Any memorials received by the family will go to Dick’s untiring commitment to provide free Alcoholics Anonymous books.
