William Cheney

April 13, 1937 - January 21, 2024

William “Bill” Cheney, a resident of Bellevue, NE., passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024, at 86. He is survived by his wife Rose, daughter Krista (Ronald) Cermak, and son Shawn (Lita) Cheney; five grandchildren, Danielle (Tyler) Macnab, Sarah (Jeff) Salas, Jennifer Palmer, Michael Cheney, and Ron Cermak; six great-grandchildren, Justin, Marissa, Matthias, Graeme, Declan, and Caid; sisters in law Christine (Paul) Firby, and Linda Steel, niece Karen Steel, and nephew Mark Steel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Effie Cheney, and his grandson, Erik Palmer.

He was a beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandad, and Great-Grandad to his family, who could not be prouder of him or have loved him more! He was and always will be a source of wisdom, comfort, and happiness to his family and those who knew him best. He was a true professional whose solid morals and genuine American pride guided him throughout his life, including proudly serving his country in the USAF for 29 years. He has provided countless cherished memories to many, and he was always ready to assist with either his immense knowledge or bring some humor to a moment with a bit of sarcasm
