It has been a year since Bill's passing.  We still miss him.  We have many fond memories  of Bill.  What a great guy.

I think of when we started our business, and I am so honored to remember our time together.  I have told my employees more than once that Bill was my favorite customer(you of course too!) I told them .. This LT COL Bill Tromp, with the Tina Turner Poster on his office wall. I remember your game of "identify the evidence" you had in a bowl or something we played at your house.. Bill was so cute, so reasonable, such a gent!!! I really hate this ...a lot. I am so sorry, miss him in our hall of fame memory book, we shall meet again.      Was saddened to hear of Bill's sudden passing.  What great memories we had of our Kelly Lake youth---summer lake ventures, car and monopoly playing, philosophical JC conversations, and the list goes on!  Bill was always there with a listening ear and support of any kind.  His rides to and from Kelly Lake to the great metropolis (Hibbing) were too numerous to mention.  His quick wit and great stories made for shorter miles.

I felt so much sadness when I read about Billy's passing.  He was a constant in my childhood in Kelly Lake.  His mother Ann was my mother's friend, so I spent a fair amount of time at his house, mostly outside by the Tromp's gorgeous garden. It was an honor and a priviledge to both work for Bill and to call him friend.  I will always treasure the time I was allowed to spend in his presence. I'll always carry with me a picture in my mind of his Viking horns hanging above his desk and fondly remember the discussions we had about the disappointment they brought us each year.  To Nancy and the rest of his family I would like to say thank you for sharing him with us all, he touched many lives and every one of them positively.

Nancy, my prayers are with you and the family.  Bill and I worked together at STRATCOM last year and he brought his humor & incredible personality each & every day.  He taught me things I will remember forever.  He will surely be missed there and to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing Bill.

   My deepest condolences on Bill's passing. Bill was a great boss. He kept his cool when everyone around him lost theirs. His silver tongue calmed many a disruptive meeting. I remember many a memorable luncheon where Bill took the whole team out to lunch in the old Volkswagen Van. There were also the Blatt Blasts at Rosenblatt stadium where he did the cooking. He not only took good care of the people he managed, he became a good friend to us all. May God bless Bill Tromp. (MY FRIEND).

What a shock!  Bill was a mentor and a friend.   I really got to know him during SAC Warriors across the Heartland (SWATH), annual fund raising event for Special Olympics, as he was one of the original members.   I will always be thankful for his giving and calming spirit.

Bill was the heart and soul of our office.  His level-headedness, sense of humor, and friendship will be deeply missed.  My deepest sympathy to Nancy and all of his family.

The sense of shock and loss was deep and the tears were flowing when we found out at work. Bill was one of the good guys and there will be a hole that will never be filled. Mr. Tromp was the calm in our storm. Despite the turbulence we face in the work place, he could always "cool us down," and place the right perspective on the reality of the day.
