Billy Joe Hart

Billy Joe Hart, 86, of Blossom, passed away Friday, December 05, 2014, at Paris Healthcare. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7th, at Knights of Honor Cemetery in Blossom. Mr. Hart, the son of Clayton Weldon & Letha Faye Beets Hart, was born Sept. 9, 1928, in Ft. Worth. He served in the U. S. Navy as an Able Seaman from Jan. 7, 1946 – Jan. 6, 1948. He was a heavy equipment mechanic in Dallas, working a number of years for Shaw Equipment before his retirement. He was an avid Bluegrass Music fan. He & his wife, Helen Ruth, lived in Dallas until 1998, when they moved to Blossom. They loved traveling and had traveled to many states. Survivors include his wife, Helen Ruth Jones Hart, whom he married on June 11, 1949, building sixty-five years of family and memories, two sons, Kevin Hart & wife Rosa of Tye and Karl Hart of Plano, one daughter, Kim Richey & husband Jerry of Paris, a son-in-law, Mick Foster of Johntown, grandchildren, Clare Hart, Janice Larson & husband Brandon, Brandi Richey, Shelby Richey, Sean Hart, Ghyna Malone and Hoit Malone and twelve great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Hart and one daughter, Kerry Foster.
