Charlie Atwell Godwin

Charlie Atwell Godwin, 65, of Paris, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. A family directed memorial service, has been scheduled for 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Spring Chapel Cemetery in Hugo where Charlie will be laid to rest near his mother. Cremation was under the care & direction of Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Charlie, the son William Atwell & Dixie Mobley Godwin, was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was manager of the Loop Truck Stop for a number of years and later was a driver for a medical transport service. Survivors include children, Shane Godwin & Shayla of Cleburne, Jamaica Meeks of DeKalb, Joseph Pendergrass & wife Pam of Powderly and Danette Armstrong & husband Stacy of Paris, siblings, Vernon Godwin & wife Callie of Oklahoma City, OK, Geneva Tucker of Paris, James Godwin & wife Tammy of Dardanelle, AR, Michelle Stover & husband L. J. of Bridgeport, Gayla Fagan of Bridgeport, Lanita Rosenbaum & husband Wes of Paris, Pam Babbitt & husband Randy of LA, Donna Kay Shepherd of Paris, Michael Godwin & wife Pam of PA and Susie Godwin of Paris, several grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews along with a host of friends.
