

Gail Yvonne Farmer, 91, of Paris, passed away Monday, March 9, 2026, at her home.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 13th at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Guille Seigler & Rev. Mike Clark officiating. Private burial will be made in Meadowbrook Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mrs. Farmer, the daughter of Lester Chapman & Vera Mae Doran Chapman, was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Oklahoma.
She was a longtime faithful member of Springlake Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She and her two sisters, Ruth Thompson and Wanda Thorpe, were always together; visiting the sick and homebound, attending funerals and visitations and doing anything they could to be of help to others.
Gail was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph Wayne Farmer, Sr., whom she married on Aug. 2, 1953, building 58 years of family and memories before his death on Jan. 14, 2012. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Garland Chapman, and a sister, Ruth Thompson.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Wayne Farmer, Jr. & wife Sandy and Doug Farmer & wife Carol, grandchildren, Emily Dunaway & husband Chance, Thomas Farmer & wife Chelsea, Ryan Farmer & wife Joy, and Erika Moore & husband Jackie, great grandchildren, Kiley Farmer and Suttyn Farmer and three siblings, Wayne Chapman & wife Pat, Jimmy Chapman & wife Jan, and Wanda Thorpe along with numerous nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
The family would like to express appreciation to Embark Care and Chambers Hospice for the tender care given their loved one.
