Henry Ray Smith, 80, of Sumner, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017, at his home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1st, at Restland Cemetery in Cunningham with Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. A formal visitation will not be scheduled, however, friends may pay their respects at the funeral home. Mr. Smith, the son of H. C. and Vida Bradley Smith, was born March 11, 1937, in Cunningham. He attended school at Cunningham and served in the United States Air Force being honorably discharged on Jan. 28, 1960. Henry was a farmer, cattle rancher, and owned rental properties. His parents and five siblings, including Buddie Smith, preceded him in death. Survivors include two children, Tracie Harris & husband David of Sumner and Joel Smith of Paris, five grandchildren, Riley Chipman, Conner Chipman, Cayden Smith, Blake Smith and Victoria Smith, and his loyal dog, Sydney Ray. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Celeste Wilcox and nurse Kim Walling for the care given their loved one.
