

Jackie N. Alexander, 77, of Sylvan, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services, with military rites, for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16th, at Sylvan Cemetery with Dr. L. C. Stout officiating. A formal visitation is not scheduled, however, friends may pay respects to Mr. Alexander at the funeral home. Jackie, the son of Robert Houston & Vera Mae Jones Alexander, was born July 27, 1939, in Paris. He graduated from Blossom High School and then served our country in the United States Air Force. His career at Uarco Business Forms as a pressman spanned 27 years. Jackie was a farmer, rancher and dairyman. He and his wife owned and operated the Pattonville Store for a number of years. He was an avid Ranger’s fan and loved to watch his grandkids play softball and baseball. Jackie enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Butch Davidson, and a brother, Robert “Bob” Alexander. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Steele Alexander, whom he married on July 28, 1962, building fifty-four years of family and memories, one son, Norman Alexander & wife Miranda of Sylvan, grandchildren, Cody Davidson, Katlin Alexander, Ryan Alexander, Karlee Alexander, Jami Low & husband Chris, Julie Free & husband Will and Ty Sims, great grandchildren, Jackson David Low, Khloe Elizabeth Free and Tatum Free, a sister, Sarah Brown & husband Benny of Paris, a sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Cleta & Ray Griffith of Whitehouse, a sister-in-law, Edwina Alexander of Lindale along with several nieces & nephews and a host of friends.
