Linda Carol Mathis

Linda Carol Mathis, 53, of Sawyer, OK, passed away Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at her home. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 6th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Linda, the daughter of Joe Thompson and Ruby Lee Chennault Stover, was born Dec. 13, 1960, in Pampa, TX. She began her career as a server at the age of 14. She enjoyed being a server and helping people. Linda also worked on a cattle ranch. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Stover, her grandparents, Martina & Desso Chennault, a brother, Carey Thompson and a sister, Tina Stover Wynn. Survivors include three children, T. J. Mathis of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerry Don Mathis of Avery and Kris Riner of Sawyer, OK, her partner of nineteen years, John Welsh of Sawyer, OK, grandchildren, Skyler Mathis, Hayden Mathis, Donica Pollard, Angela Hankins, Kelli Mathis, Dylan Mathis, Trenton George, Hunter Riner and Colton Riner, two sisters, Lisa Ashlock of Paris and Loretta Ashlock of Soper, OK, two brothers, Eddie Thompson & Danny Stover both of Paris along with numerous nieces and nephews.
