Mary Elizabeth Lloyd, 85, of Paris, passed away at her home, Sunday, August 24, 2014. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 10:00 am, Friday, August 29, 2014 in the Pavilion of Moran Cemetery, in Slim, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Bro. Patrick Cannon. Mrs. Lloyd was born January 7, 1929 in De Leon, Texas to Durward Hiram “Hime” Lloyd and Fannie Mae Boswell Lloyd. She proudly served her country as a WAVE in the U.S. Navy for two years. After leaving the Navy, Mary worked for the Southland Corporation for over 40 years. She was an avid reader and was a proud member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Wanda Rae Lloyd. Survivors include a niece, Sherrie Walkup & husband Herbert of Valliant, OK; a grand-niece, Brandy Walkup of Valliant, OK and a host of friends. Mrs. Lloyd’s family extends a very “Special” thanks to Tessa, with Heart to Heart Hospice.
