Reta Glen Bailey

Reta Glen Bailey, 70, of Reno, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, at her home. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 2:00 pm Sunday, June 8th at First Christian Church with Rev. Jim Hollingsworth & Rev. John Burton officiating. The family will receive friends in White Fellowship Hall following the service. Following the visitation Mrs. Bailey will lie in repose at Bright-Holland Funeral Home until 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 9th at the Abby Mausoleum Chapel of Restland Memorial Park in Dallas with Rev. Jim Hollingsworth officiating. Entombment will follow in the Abby Mausoleum. Reta, the daughter of Aubrey Paul “Al” Zimmerman and Billie Little Jacobus, was born Nov. 2, 1943, in McKinney. Prior to moving to Paris, she was a successful beautician and owned & operated Hair Fantasies in Torrance, CA for twenty years. For the past twenty-five years, she owned and operated Al’s Rent To Own. Reta was a faithful member of First Christian Church serving as a board member, deacon, elder and active in Outreach. Her generosity was great and expressed without need of personal recognition. Survivors include two daughters, Cindy Metheny & husband Russell Endsley of Canyon Lake, CA and Genger Borton & husband Michael Borton of Charlottesville, VA, three grandchildren, Morgan Metheny of Canyon Lake, CA, McKenna and Gillian Borton of Charlottesville, VA, two brothers, Ron Zimmerman & wife Maryla of Irving and Rick Tabone & wife Corri of Houston, one sister, Paulette Littrell of El Dorado, AR, ten nieces & nephews along with extended family and a plethora of friends.
