

Samantha Kay Palmer, 45, of Paris, passed away peacefully at her home while surrounded by her family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12th, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and will be at the home of Kelli & Billy McDowell at other times. Samantha, the daughter of Jessie & Carolyn Price Tucker, was born March 31, 1971, in Clarksville. She graduated from Detroit High School and Paris Junior College. She worked for a time at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital before beginning a career with U. S. Pipe Line that spanned ten years. Samantha loved life, her family and the outdoors. Survivors include her parents, Jessie & Carolyn Tucker of Paris, children, Heather Bybee of Paris, Courtney Palmer & husband Scott of Cooper and Ashley Palmer of Cooper, three grandchildren, Madison, Erin and Emily, siblings, David Tucker & wife Gayle of Paris, Michael Tucker & wife Tracey of Paris, Jessie Tucker & wife Stormy of Detroit, Tammy Tucker of Detroit, Kelli McDowell & husband Billy of Paris and Derek Crawford & his daughter of Quitman, nieces, Amber, Kayla, Shelby, Charlie, Crystal, Stacia, Kacie, Karley, Baylie and Taylor, nephews, Dewayne, Kody, Kenton, Trevor, Austin, Jessie, Blayne and Brandon, seven great nephews, six great nieces, special friends, Mike Worthey, Jeannie Tucker and Shannon Wilmeth along with a host of other friends. Casket bearers will be: Dewayne Tucker, Nathan Lott, Kenton Tucker, Trevor Cato, Brandon Brewer, Nathan Yearwood, Lee Reichle and T. J. Anderson. Honorary bearers will be: Kody Golightly, Jessie Tucker, Blayne Tucker and Austin Tucker.
